Our music courses normally involve one-to-one tuition, and are designed for both children and adults at all levels. Pupils are encouraged to develop their own performance style on a sound theoretical base - music tutor books and tuition fees are reasonably priced - and there is the opportunity to participate in examinations and concerts if desired.

We have teachers located in most Christchurch suburbs providing tuition in:

Bass Guitar

We also have a condensed modern theory course designed especially for musicians/performers, as well as students intending to audition for enrolment in the jazz and commercial music courses at the Christchurch Polytechnic Jazz School.

If you would like to find out about becoming a NZMSM teacher please contact the Manager. We look for teachers who have a sound background both practical and theoretical in piano/keyboard or guitar and especially if they can play more than one instrument or have had vocal training. We will provide training to bring each teacher up to our National requirements.
