Welcome to the West Coast District of the NZ Modern School of Music.

This area covers Murchison, Westport, Reefton, Greymouth and Hokitika.

At this stage we teach piano (modern and classical), guitar and theory

We offer one-to-one tuition

Our lessons and books are very competitively priced

Our course is especially designed to hold the pupil's interest and most pupils are able to play simple tunes after only a few lessons

Theory exams are held bi-annually (May and October). From Grade 1 to Performer's level

Practical exams are held annually from Beginner's to Performance level

Exams are not compulsory

We encourage students to have fun & enjoy their music

The emphasis of the course provided by NZMSM is upon improvisation & creative work
